Posted in Uncategorized on August 9, 2008 by adiprebhu
Hey! Rockhopper’s key is finally here! Read more!
Where to find Rockhopper’s key
You must go to the Book Room to get his key. Once you get there you should click the book in the bottom right hand corner.
Once you clicked the book, click Rockhopper’s Journal. This is the grubby old looking book in the bottom right hand corner on the shelf.
Scroll to the end of the page, and you will see this
This can also be used as a pin. Or shall we call it “The Key Pin” ![]()
Now go to the Migrator. You can now get in Rockhopper’s headquarters!
Stuff to do in Rockhopper’s Headquarters
The only thing you can do in Rockhopper’s Headquarters for now is play this one game. It’s really easy and I’m not going to do a tutorial on it. It’s pretty self explanatory.
Another room?
Yep! That’s right! There is another room! To get there, go to the Migrator, then you should scroll your mouse over the arrow and they should pop down! It’s something like this…
That’s about it! I will let you know if anything else comes up!
In other news
In a couple of days, Club Penguin is having a feature where you can adjust the size of the screen you play on to play Club Penguin! Sounds exciting, eh? ![]()
Question of the day
Which room do you like better? The Headquarters or the Lookout? I like the Lookout, I mean you can see the whole Club Penguin Island from there!

Hello Penguins!
Last week I posted a sketch from the upcoming mission. Here is another one. The team is just putting the finishing touches on the new mission! There will be a couple rooms you’ve never seen in a mission before.
Make sure you’re totally caught up and have completed the past two missions (Secret of the Fur and Questions for a Crab)–these two have to be completed before you can play the new one.
In other news: I just heard about a NEW igloo design the team is working on! Many of you have suggested it in the past, so I think you’ll have lots of fun with it. The igloo will be released on Friday, April 18. Here’s a small piece of it.

Until then…waddle on!

Club Penguin in the UK!
April 16, 2008

Hello Penguins!
I wanted to let all of you know a piece of exciting news.
There are kids from around the world that play Club Penguin and this month we opened a Club Penguin office in the UK. We love hearing from all of you and decided it would be a really good idea to have a team totally dedicated to that in the UK.
To celebrate the opening of the office, there is a special event planned at the ZSL London Zoo at the beginning of May. For those of you who live in the London area, and want to check it out, here are the details you need to know:
When: May 3, 11 a.m – 4 p.m.
Where: ZSL London Zoo
Who: Everyone is invited
What: Free access to the zoo, a chance to feed real penguins, and lots of activities (I heard there might even be a ‘best penguin costume’ contest)
In other news: Thanks for all your feedback about the new site! We’re still ‘polishing’ it and your suggestions are a great help!

THE HIMALAYAS
Posted in Uncategorized on July 27, 2008 by adiprebhu
” In a hundred ages of the gods, I could not tell thee of the glories of the Himalaya”…. Thus does tradition call down to us from the Puranas. The Himalaya, is a spectacle of awesome dimensions… ranges upon ranges, tiers of rock, sharp sky piercing peaks and canyons, deep beyond measure…….how did this come about, whence rose these citadels of ice…how did this three thousand kilometer long mountain range come into existence?, for the Himalaya is not only the most impressive of all the mountain chains, but also the youngest.
You have to stretch your imagination a bit to comprehend the cataclysmic events that led to the formation of the Himalayan ranges.
According to the most accepted geological theories, India once belonged to an Island continent called Gondwanaland and was separated from the Eurasian continent by the primordial Tethyan ocean. One billion years ago, the Aravallis, whose eroded remnants are visible around Delhi, formed a chain higher than the Himalayas today. Over millions of years these mountains suffered the forces of erosion and their sediments were deposited in the Tethyan ocean. Then 140 million years ago, India began it’s northward movement, on a collision course with the Eurasian continent.
The point where the two continents were joined is known, appropriately, as the Indus- Yarlung Suture zone, marked by the courses of these two greatest rivers of the Kailash. After 60 million years, the Indian and Asian plates became closely welded along this suture zone. The northward movement of India continued but at a slower rate – 2-3 centimeters per year.
And what birth pangs…. as a result of the collision itself, and the related contraction of the Tethyan ocean, all the rocks of this area, from the mountains of then northern India to the oceanic crust, and the deep sea sediments of the Jurassic and Cretaceous ages, joined in the formation of the Himalayas.
This then is the result of those ancient events ….. each layer tells the story of the play of millions of years of brute force by nature.
The Himalayas as we see them today went through some distinct epochs of uplift. First came the Trans. Himalaya. South of this is the high Himalayan region, where the range reaches it’s highest points. Here we find old crystalline rock, the oldest core material in the entire Himalayas, almost 2 billion years old, the bottom layers of the compacted Tethyan sediments. This is known as the main central thrust.
As the Himalayas rose the forces of erosion kept pace, leading to the formation of a contiguous lower range of hills known as the Shivaliks. Made of erosion material
from the still rising Himalayas, their sediments reflect the history of the up thrust of the emergent Himalayas. Numerous fossil finds allow the Shivaliks to be dated with accuracy and provide evidence of the comparative youth of the Himalayas.
In the second phase of upheaval, further uplift of the central axis took place. It was now that the great peaks of the Garhwal himalaya..
The uplift continues even today at a measurable 10 meters every hundred years. Mount Everest has itself risen 8.2 meters in the last 100 years.
Very little is known about the start, duration and extent of the Ice ages in the Himalayas. Geologists have however determined that the second last was the most severe. The period after this major ice age saw a marked retreat of the glaciers and this was also the period that most Himalayan lakes came into being, amidst the ice polished rock landscape. The
Large lakes were also formed as rising rivers were blocked by the emergent ranges. As the rising Pir panjal blocked the Jhelum it turned, what we know as The Vale of
All the major rivers of the Himalayas have their source in the holy Kailash region. The
Two of these great rivers, the Indus and the Yarlung-Brahmaputra, were forced
to flow along the lines of the suture zone in an east west direction, only penetrating the range at it’s eastern and western extremities.
To further confound matters, this penetration takes place at points of highest uplift, Nanga Parbat in the west and Namche Barwa in the east. The cutting action of the other rivers kept pace with the rising Himalaya and they come right through the range at some of the highest points.
In the East, the Yarlung Tsangpo parallels the Himalaya till it comes to the great axial bend at
The sources of all major Himalayan rivers lie, therefore, on the north side of the great range and besides the Kailash group, include most larger Himalayan rivers.
These rivers are the principal architects of the Himalayan landscape and each river system has created it’s own unique geomorphology. The Indus and it’s tributaries like the
The gradual rise of the Himalaya took place in a series of long, curvilinear, parallel folds, and in this stupendous upthrust of the earth’s crust, was created a mountain range that contains all the worlds mountains over 7,000 meters in height, and constitutes the line of demarcation between two of the world’s great faunal realms – the Oriental to the south and the Palearctic to the north. Here we find compressed into a few tens of kilometers, the most abrupt environmental changes in the terrestrial world.
Geographically the range has been traditionally divided into :-
- The Punjab Himalaya……. consisting of the catchement basins of the Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas and Sutluj.
- The Garhwal Himalaya …… consisting of the catchement basins of the the Yamuna and the Ganga.

- The Kumaon Himalaya
- The Nepal Himalaya
- Sikkim ….. the basin of the teesta
& - The Eastern Himalaya…. the Brahmaputra and it’s left bank tributaries.
Broadly they are classified into western, central and eastern Himalaya.
The Western Himalaya, from Himachal Pradesh onwards, has a much greater depth or width, than the Eastern Himalaya. A transverse section drawn from the plains of Punjab, through Kashmir, onto the Karakorums is three times longer than anywhere in the Eastern Himalaya.
The Eastern Himalaya is also climatically very different. High rainfall and gentler conditions make the eastern Himalaya a recognised haven for biodiversity.
Although we tend to talk of the Himalaya as a monolith, nevertheless the fact remains that in their 3000 kilometer length, they present endless variation in terms of climate, geomorphology, flora and fauna. From the tropical jungles of Arunachal to the cold desert of the Nubra.. ..primulas and rare orchids to the equally rare edelweiss… frozen waterfalls and verdant forest ……bare rock and glacial wastes …the Himalaya have it all…..

The last up thrust affected not only the Himalayas, Transhimalaya and the Karakorum, but also the whole of the Tibetan region. With an area of 2.5 million square kilometers, this region is the highest land mass on earth and in the last 1 million years it has risen by nearly 5,000 meters, an average of 4-5 millimeters per year.Pangong and the Chandratal are classic examples of such glacial remnants.Kashmir, into a lake. This primeaval lake, called the Karewa, drained, and from it’s
sediments, pieces of primitive tools have been recovered – our only evidence of a pre ice- age culture in the Himalayas.Indus to the north, the Yarlung -Brahmaputra in the east, the Sutluj in the west and the Ganga, Karnali streams to the south and southwest. This amazing situation, making Mt. Kailash the literal lynchpin of the Himalaya, is the result of a 30 million year old upthrust of the Kailash range at a time when the Himalayas were in the slow, initial phase of their formation.Namche Barwa. Then, cutting one of the deepest gorges on earth, three times as deep as the Grand canyon, it enters the plains of Assam.Zanskar and the Suru in the transhimalaya. It’s major Himalayan tributaries which are river systems in their own right … the Chenab, Ravi, Beas and the Sutlej. Further east the Garwhal
himalaya is the domain of the Ganga and it’s feeder streams while the Teesta drains the Sikkimese himalaya. Beyond, in Arunachal is the true lower catchement of the great Brahmaputra river system.jokes of club penguin

HOW TO SOLVE QUESTIONS FOR CRAB.
1. First, you will meet G. Then talk to him, (click “Thanks for waiting, G. Yes, let’s ask him some questions.) G will pull the lever, the Crab Translator 3000 will explode, then the crab will escape.
2. Follow the crab. First at the main HQ, you will saw him near the door through the HQ.Then, at near the door of the Gift Shop. After that, it will ride at the Ski Lift. Go to mountain, Follow him through below the mountain. Move a little bit to the right, then at the left through the river. Then at the door(where you was at the mission 2).
3. Now the door is lock, and the pet door is smaller to you. Go right, through the tree stump. Then at the left, through the log. You will see a bag of Puffle O’s hanging. Use your scissors to cut the rope. Get the Puffle O’s.
4. Move right, back at the tree stump.Feed the puffle with the Puffle O’s, then after that, he will be your friend.Move right, back to to the door.Put a Puffle O’s at the pet door, then the puffle will get it. Wait until the puffle opens the door.
5. Once you’ll at the cave, you will get on a trap. The puffle will hide. And the Polar Bear will come out (he’s name is Herbert P. Bear, Esquire)! And he got the spy phone. Talk to him (he got a flipchart) (click “Who are you? What do you want?”, “The Arctic Circle? But that’s thousands of miles away! How did you get here?”, “No, what was it?”, “But how did you wind up here?”, “You had found Club Penguin!”, “Wait, you can’t swim?”, “What are you talking about?”, “But why chop down the Ski Lodge? There are lots of trees in Club Penguin.”, “You’ll never get away with this!”).After that, Klutzy will destroy the flipchart.
6. Look at the right until you see the “Cage Lift”. Look more until you see the end of the Cage Lift. You will see a dark-brown lever. Put a Puffle O’s on the lever and wait until the puffle jumps at it. When the lever turns down, water will start flowing on the small gutter.
7.Put another Puffle O’s at the other side of the gutter. Then put another Puffle O’s at the weight, which should lift up the blocker. Then the giant cog will start rotating, then the trap will open. You are free!
8. Move right until you see a table. Pick up the Hot Sauce and the Blueprint for the Electro Magnet 3000; move right a little bit and get the hanging rope and the anchor. Move left until you see the door again.
9. Open the door, then snow will block it. Combine the Hot Sauce and the Puffle O’s then feed it at the puffle. Wait until it flies through the door making a hole.
10. When you are out at the cave, move right, back at the tree stump, then forward at the bush, then right again, back where you started. Click at the side of the mountain and combine the anchor and rope. Use it to climb through the mountain.
11. Once you are at the mountain, go at the Ski Village, then at the Ski Lodge and at the green door at the right. You will notice that he’s hungry while he’s working with his plan. Then go to the Dock, the Town, The Snow Forts, The Plaza and last at the Pizza Parlor. Move left a little bit then talk to the waiter and order for a SEAWEED PIZZA.
12.Go back to the Ski Lodge, then gave the pizza to Herbert. While Herbert is eating, turn the lever through the right side. Click on him after he eats then watch him go to the ice and through the water. G will came up (click “Yes, I recovered your plans for the magnets from the Bear’s hideaway.”). Give him the blueprint.
13. Your done! You will receive the medal and a gift from G.

- Talk to G. Choose any option. He explains the problem with the Clocks.
- Click the moniter of the Snow Forts that G is pointing to. You will see the the Polar Bear and the Crab break the clock. Click the corner to exit the clock.
- Talk to G again. Keep choosing the top option. He wants you to find the parts to repair the clock.
- Go to the Gadget Room. Take the LifeGuard Rescue Tube off the shelf and put it in your inventory.
- Use your map and go to the Dock. Talk to the penguins from the Blue team. Keep clicking the top options until they let you play to get back the target.
- Here’s how you play: Click and hold the mouse until the bar goes up to the red zone. LET GO immediately when the bar is at the red zone. Then aim with your mouse and shoot at the target. Remember, the target is moving so click just a little bit ahead of where the target is going. And it takes longer for the snowball to travel the farther the penguin is from you.
- Once you win, they’ll give you the target. Give them the Rescue Tube so they can continue practicing.
- Go to the HQ. Talk to G and tell him you need to use the Electromagnet 3000. He say’s the combination is ‘key’.
- Go to the Invention Cabinet, which is left of the entrance to the Gadget Room. There is a Decoder available if you put your cursor on the bottom right of the screen. Decode the word ‘key’ to Secret Agent Code and input it into the lock.
- The lock will open. Take out the Magnetron 3000. Now go to the Iceberg on your Map.
- Go to the left until you see an spring-in-an-icecube floating in the ocean. Use the Magnetron to pull it out of the water. Put them both in your inventory.
